Mr. Vipul Gupta is an independent litigator practising before the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, various District courts in Delhi and before several tribunals in Delhi. He practices in the areas of law related to transfer of property, companies, constitution, contract, insurance, civil procedure, copyright, arbitration, probate, recovery of damages, service, labour and crime.
He graduated from GGS IP University in 2008 and later obtained a dual degree of LLM in Law and Global Economy from New York University School of Law and National University of Singapore on Deans scholarship in 2011. He also pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Law and Management from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He has previously worked as a Legal Team Member of the Central Vigilance Committee on Public Distribution System, as a Research Assistant for NUS’s United Nations Secretary General Research Project and as a lawyer on the panel of the Delhi Legal Service Authority. He was also the Indian representative at the 36th Session of External Program of The Hague Academy of International Law, Netherlands on International Environmental Law, Beijing.
He is the Founder and active member of the NGO, Sparsh-Ek Prayatana, engaged in the work of educating under-privileged sections of society, specifically targeting children and adults at construction sites. Besides this, he regularly undertakes several pro bono cases of people from marginalized sections of the society in civil, criminal and family law disputes. He has also delivered several lectures at law colleges, distant village panchayats, schools located at the outskirts of the city, and also administered and conducted work at the Legal Aid Clinic at NLU, Delhi.
