Mr. Sumit Roy is a commercial litigator and is working with the law firm Seth Dua & Associates as a Senior Associate. A 2010 graduate from IMS Law College, Meerut University Mr. Roy focuses his practice primarily on complex civil disputes with an emphasis on intellectual property and domestic arbitration.
He started his career in Kanth & Associates and got firsthand experience, in drafting of pleadings and appearing before the Trial Courts and High Court in Delhi. During his tenure with Kanth & Associates, Mr. Roy assisted and represented several Public Sector Undertakings in complicated litigation and arbitration cases.
Thereafter, he joined SRGR Law Offices wherein he regularly advised and represented clients on a wide variety of matters involving high-stake commercial and business disputes. Prior to joining Seth Dua & Associates, Mr. Roy was working with Alpha Partners and was responsible for handling the litigation practice for the firm. In the year 2015, Alpha Partners was ranked as a recommended firm for Dispute Resolution by Legal 500.
Having represented companies across a wide range of sectors including IT, Construction, Infrastructure & Real Estate, E-Commerce, Hospitality, Telecom, Media and Manufacturing, his experience extends to all aspects of litigation, including development and implementation of case strategy, as well as, trial and appeals to the High Courts and Supreme Court of India.
