Mr. Manikya Khanna

Mr. Manikya Khanna is the Founding Partner of the firm S. K. Associates and has a standing practice before the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, Telecom Tribunal (TDSAT), several tribunals in Delhi and various arbitration tribunals.

A graduate from Amity Law School (IP University) of 2008, he began his career as a Law Researcher with Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Delhi High Court. Thereafter he worked as an Associate with Mr. Sachin Datta, Central Government Standing Counsel, Delhi High Court. In 2011 he, along with his partner, started the firm S. K. Associates.

He presently files and prosecutes/ appears on behalf of Loop Telecom/ Reliance Telecom before the Hon’ble TDSAT and Hon’ble Delhi High Court on issues involving Government Policies, Licensing and Contractual Disputes etc. He has also filed and prosecuted/ defended proceedings under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act against Broadcasters such as Media Pro, MSM Discovery, ESPN etc., for various Multi System Operators and Local Cable Operators before the Hon’ble TDSAT and Hon’ble Delhi High Court. He has also handled proceedings before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court and District Courts pertaining to civil matters including suits for injunction, specific performance, possession, recoveries, cheque bouncing, and writ petitions pertaining to tender matters, allotment, service matters etc.

As a student he was extremely active in co-curricular activities and Moot court competitions. He was the Editor-in-Chief of Lex Times, quarterly legal magazine of SPIL (Students for the Promotion of International Law). He was also an Executive Member of SPIL. He had been instrumental in organising various lectures, seminars, conferences and moot court competitions including the Rajanand National Moot Court Competition, M.K. Nambiar International Moot Court Competition & Amity National Moot Court Competition under the aegis of SPIL and Amity Law School. During his illustrious moot court career he participated in the Fourth Annual William C. Vis. Arbitration Moot (East), Hong Kong, Thirteenth Annual William C. Vis. Arbitration Moot, Vienna, and the Madhav Rao Scindia IPR Moot organized by Campus Law College, New Delhi.

I am sure his passion for litigation and mooting will go a long way in guiding students at Project Abhimanyu wanting to pursue a career in dispute resolution.
