Mr. Ninad Laud is a Junior Counsel practicing at the Supreme Court of India.
He read law at the V.M.Salgaocar College of Law, Goa. During this time, apart from various internships with law firms in Mumbai and counsel in Delhi, he clerked with Mr. Justice Santosh Hegde, then judge of the Supreme Court.
He was admitted to the bar in 2006 and devilled in the chambers of Senior Counsel Mr. Mukul Rohatgi, (now Attorney General for India) for over 7 years, before starting his independent practice as a counsel. Ninad’s primary practice is at the Supreme Court, but he also regularly appears at the National Green Tribunal, both in Delhi and Pune. His core areas of practice are mining and environmental law, apart from general civil and commercial litigation at the Supreme Court. He has handled several high profile cases including the PIL filed by Ms. Shreya Singhal against the ghastly section 66A of the IT Act.
