Mr. S. Basava Raj is the Founder of Daksha Legal, a leading full service law firm based in Bangalore.
His expertise include constitutional Law, corporate law, real estate town planning, municipal, urban planning, land revenue, pollution control laws, land acquisition, and property laws.
After enrolling as a lawyer in 1988, Mr. Basavaraj joined the chambers of Sri. R. V. Vasanthkumar, Advocate, (later appointed as Judge, Karnataka High Court, and Chairman, Karnataka Administrative Tribunal, Bangalore) and appeared along with him for Bangalore City Corporation, and Food Corporation of India. In 1990, he joined the chambers of Sri. S. Vijay Shankar, Senior Advocate, (former Advocate General for Karnataka). In June 1999, he founded Daksha legal.
He has served as Legal advisor to the Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority, the Bangalore International Airport Area Planning Authority, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation and the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. His clients include Coca-Cola, Philips, Nilgiris, Kargil and HUL.
