Mr. Yash Varmani is a second year student at Campus Law Centre, Delhi University. He is an active member of the Moot Court Society, Placement Cell, Quiz Society and Legal Aid Society of his college.
He has a keen interest in Direct Tax Laws and also in understanding of Accountancy and Interpretation of Financial Statements of an entity. He even cleared his CA IPCE (Intermediate) in the first attempt with distinction in Taxation laws. As a part of the Moot Court Society, he took part in two National Moot Court competitions based on “Income Tax” in the very first year of his Law school. His team reached the Semi- final round in the 2nd Justice Dr. B.P. Saraf National Tax Moot and Quarter-final round in XII Nani Palkhiwala National Tax Moot. For practical experience in the field of Direct Tax, he has done an articleship with a CA firm for 4 months and Legal Internship in Anil Sharma Legal (Direct Tax Law Firm).
He has also published a paper titled “Decoding Tax Residency Certificate” on taxmann.com. Finally, he has completed several internships in his area of interest i.e. taxation laws under the guidance of renowned lawyers such as Sr. Adv. Sh. KTS Tulsi, Sr. Adv. Sh. Arvind P. Datar and Mr. Kabir Dixit (Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court)..
