Faizal has close to 20 years of professional experience. He has been practicing corporate and commercial laws in the Middle East for over a decade, with leading firms including the international law firm of Baker McKenzie.

Faizal has represented some of the largest multinational corporations on cross-border transactions and advised them on a multitude of international agreements. He has had notable success in acting as the lead counsel in a number of commercial transactions in the region, including a multi-billion dollar JV in the defence sector, a multi-billion investment in the aviation sector and numerous high stake acquisitions across sectors ranging from healthcare to hospitality and media to defence.

Faizal has rich experience as an in-house counsel. He has acted as the regional counsel for AbbVie Biopharmaceuticals heading its operations in around 35 countries in the Middle East and Africa region, and led its spin-off from Abbott Pharmaceuticals.

Faizal also advises on various aspects of compliance, in particular, on anti-corruption. He is a Certified Auditor for ISO 37001 Standards on Anti-Bribery Management Systems and ISO 19600 Standards on Compliance Management Systems. Further, he is one of the few lawyers licensed by the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) Wills & Probate Registry to register common law compliant Wills for foreign investors and expatriates in Dubai, UAE.

Faizal is admitted to the Bar Council of Kerala, India (1998) and a member of the New York State Bar Association.
