Project Abhimanyu organised a one-day workshop on Career Counselling on 23rd February, 2019 at AMU, Aligarh, U.P. The workshop dealt with a number of topics including ‘Career Options available to a law graduates’, ‘pursuing a career in intellectual property laws and taxation laws in India’ and ‘soft skills of a good lawyer’.
The workshop was conducted by Project Abhimanyu Mentors, Mr. Abhimanyu Chopra, Ms. Manisha Kariya, Mr. Saurabh Kumar and Ms. Ojasvita Srivastava.
Ms. Ojasvita Srivastava, who is the founder of Project Abhimanyu, introduced Project Abhimanyu to the students and explained its objectives. She further took a session on the career options available to law graduates.
Ms. Manisha Kariya an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India educated the students on the soft skills of a good lawyer while
Mr. Abhimanyu Chopra, an Advocate at AZB & Partners, Noida, talked about the challenges as well as opportunities of a career in Intellectual Property law. The last session, on opportunities of a career in Taxation law was held by Mr. Saurabh Kumar, the Managing Partner at SK Attorneys This was followed by a Q&A session.
The workshop was well received and was attended by close to 150 students including students of BA LLB, LLM and PhD courses as well as faculty members. Below are a few pictures from the event.
